I will be giving a full summary tomorrow on lessons learned as well as triumphs over the course of the week here in Carson. However tonight I found myself really happy about four things.
First, a huge congrats has to go to Janice Spray for making the Games despite just working out to be fit. It has been a joy and a honor to coach and prepare her for these Games. You will find no better example and role model for mom’s with her priorities straight and yet makes time to take care of her body.
Second, Jeff made it and did work all weekend long. First year Games competitor and the fittest man in Louisiana represented his home state with pride. The first person to make it to the Games from Louisiana and we expect him to be back. Proud of you Jeff.
Third, Emily had one heck of a final day. She turned in a 13th place finish on the “Midline March.” A 3rd place finish on “Thick and Quick” which was her best finish of the weekend. And she finished with a 10th place finish on surprise “Double Grace.” She moved from a 19th place start at the beginning of the day to a stellar 13th place finish. Up 10 spots from last year’s finish. Solid work Emily.
Lastly, I love Rich. I’m glad he overcame the deficit he found himself in and proud to call that man champion. He earned it and I sincerely hope he sticks to his word and retires from individual competition as the four time fittest man. Great job champ!
