Today was my wife’s 29th birthday. Big events like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays always cause you to reflect on what’s happened over the course of the year since the previous year. There are certain people and events in your life that you can point to as fundamentally critical for the for your development as a person. Megan is the one person I can point to and attribute ANY and ALL success I may have experienced. Without Megan’s guidance and direction in my life, I’m not in full-time coaching, I’m not a truly competitive weightlifter, nor does this blog exist. Without her as a catalyst for much of my effort, I’m likely a barista as Starbucks in Dallas trying to figure out what to do with my life consumed in a wake of sin and destruction. The idea that I would have seen any of the crazy growth I’ve seen in the past four years without her is outlandish. I could not be more grateful for her love, faithfulness, and affection.
Here’s to 29 years of God blessing us with her presence and here’s to many more years to come. (Especially dirty 30)
Love you Megan.
