Quick update to those of you asking about upcoming camps and programming DURING the Open.
First off all, we will not be doing any trianing camps through the Open in an effort to focus on our athletes and help those of you following our programming succeed. We have however filled many of the weeks following the Open with different training camps. We are looking to fill our 2016 Calendar and would love to come to your cities and gyms for one of our seminars. Pretty excited to be going to a couple gyms to teach both weightlifting and the Bible combined. Cool opportunity for Power and Grace. Secondly, for those of following the blog programming for Crossfit. Obviously the Open is right around the corner. We will be starting the taper on Friday for 16.1. With that in mind the scheduled work will look like the following:
– Friday: Complete Open Workout
– Saturday: Minor strength work, Heavy skill work geared toward skill in the Open Workout, Short, High Intensity, Interval conditioning.
– Sunday: Rest
– Monday: Repeat Open Workout as needed (alternative given for those who don't need to), Heavy Strength Work, Skill Position Work
– Tuesday: Medium Strength Work, Medium Skill Work, Open Style AMRAP at 80% intensity
– Wednesday: Light Strength Work, Medium Skill Work, Low-Intensity Aerobic Conditioning
– Thursday: Rest and Watch Open Announcement
I can't wait to see how this year's worth of work will pay off in the Open. It's going to be a great 5 weeks. It's almost here!
