Before I left Amelia Island today I noticed a sign that stated, “Does Your Workout Make You Nervous? It Should.”
I love that idea. When you look at your work for the day or for the next day or for the end of the week do you get anxious or ancy or nervous? Good programs combined with good lifters create an angst before workouts or before lifts. Some of that anxiety can be used for success and other times it can rattle you. Either way, lifters who care about lifting and care about results get nervous LONG before they step on the platform in competition. Their workouts cause them butterflies.
