11 hours later and a 4AM start time and we have made it to our now home in Georgia. While Megan and I are sad to leave so much in Texas, Georgia holds no lack of excitement for us. I spent some of the drive talking to my old weightlifting coach, Stan Luttrell, about the future for Olympic Weightlifting in Georgia. He coaches the Strength and Conditioning now at Georgia powerhouse Buford High School. Getting to be near him again and compare notes and programs will certainly be of great benefit to those following the Weightlifting program as it was his program that produced multiples of National Champions including current Olympic Team front runner Jenny Arthur.
The future looks bright. Thank you Dallas for the memories and the impact you’ve had in our lives. The next chapter starts tomorrow.
