Movement Monday: Hidden Fault in Muscle Ups

September 19, 2016 By Spencer Arnold

Welcome back to Movement Monday!

This week we are looking at a very strong athlete whose basement positions and execution of the hollow/arch kip are great. However, what we are seeing in this video is a classic case of a single weak link in a (kinetic) chain is resulting in a failed rep. These concepts will apply to all of our hanging gymnastics motions in addition to some carry over to to the barbell. Take a look and see if you can apply these ideas to your movement.

Cheers!

1 Chronicles 19:13

Be strong, and let us use our strength for our people and for the cities of our God, and may the LORD do what seems good to him.
