Rudy, Winchester, and myself have completed one of the most epic runs of camps thought possible.  8 straight days and 3 straight camps.  Completed NOLA, ATX, and Dallas in 8 days.  The past 8 days, while exhausting, have been some of the most entertaining and enjoyable as a coach.  These type of camps with campers so extremely receptive and teachable are why I love my job.
Thank you specifically to the staff and attendees of Crossfit NOLA 504, Crossfit Central Downtown, and the folks who attended my own box Crossfit Deep Ellum.  Yall make my job worth while and help remind me why God has called me to this profession.
Top 5 Takeaways from the crazy 8 day ride:
5: Rudy literally is the worst singer of all time and has a terrible taste in music.  He literally thought “Legs” was the best ZZ Tops song.  Really?  Legs?  Lagrange for sure.  The worst part is he tried to prove it by singing it.

4: Kolaches are seriously underrated and non-Texans should definitely be introduced to God’s gift to the pastry world.  Seriously they may be the best thing Texas has to offer the rest of the world right up there with Pat Green and TexMex. (Thank you Czechoslovakia)
3: Hamstrings best function under tension and are likely the least used muscle by Crossfitters as evidenced by their reaction when put in the proper hang position.

2: The Snatch, Clean and Jerk, Muscleup, and Handstand Pushup are still and remain to be the most valuable parts of a Crossfitters arsenal.  So get really good at them!
1: The most valuable character trait an athlete and coach can have is patience.  Patience when coaching, patience when training, and patience in waiting for the results.
