We are less than a week out from the first lifts being taken at this year’s Junior Pan-American championships in Ecuador. As the first of the two major international competitions for our Juniors, we have high hopes and high expectations for our team as a whole and especially the Power and Grace lifters representing our country.
Fortunately, both the girls representing Power and Grace are not strangers to the Pan-American Championships. Furthermore, this is a competition they have both seen great success at. Last year, Jourdan took second overall with a bronze in the snatch and a silver in the clean and jerk. Jessie took the gold snatching for a gold medal and clean and jerking for silver.
Be on the lookout for both of these girls as they travel to Ecuador with some of the same expectations and hopes. Jourdan will lift on Wednesday, May 3 at 6:15 PM Ecuador time. Jessie will lift on Saturday, May 6 at 4:00 PM Ecuador time. There will be a live feed that we will be posting as it comes available. If you are free be sure to check them out and support them as they go chase more medals for United States.
