One of the greatest gifts God can bestow to us is children. Psalm 127:3 states, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” That being said there are couples around the world who struggle to get pregnant and many who after a lifetime of trying are never blessed with children. The miracle of life given in the form of a child is God’s gracious gift to us. He gives us the chance to extend our heritage and our His heritage through our children.
Jerry and Megan were blessed with a beautiful baby girl yesterday and a HUGE answer to prayer. I want to take this post to congratulate them and also remind yall of the blessing that children are. The origin of childbirth and pregnancy can be only pointed back to as a gift from God. God gives us kids as a blessing and a reminder of his goodness to us on the Cross.
I pray that those who have children would recognize how blessed they are and those who are struggling to get pregnant or can’t get pregnant would trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness. He knows best and His grace is sufficient.
