I want to give a couple shout outs to three people from this weekend who were impressive in their performances. First I met in person Sean Rider over the weekend at MDUSA. Sean, if you’re not aware who he is, came back from a pretty horrific injury to snatch over his old max and clean and jerk more than his old max in a relatively short amount of time. Sean should be a inspiration to each of you as his comeback is something movies are made of. See his injury video below. I am still a little fuzzy on the details but I know that he cracked his fibula in half with a spiral fracture. Three pins and a plate later he was on his feet going back at the lifts.

Secondly I want to give a huge shout out to Ingrid Kantola for her American Open qualifying performance yesterday. Snatching and CJ just enough to qualify for the American open here in Dallas is no small feat. Congratulations Ingrid your hard work has paid off big time. Thank you Thomas and Sam for coaching her through the meet
Lastly I want to give a massive shout out to Jason Riggins. Jason is one of my assistant weightlifting coaches at CrossFit Deep. He picked up weightlifting two years ago as a way to help train for baseball. After lots of hard training sessions and years of work, Jason will finally be heading to his first national level competition. His improvement over the past year especially has been extremely fun to watch as his total has jumped over 80kg.
