Lookout professional exercisers… something good happened this weekend.
As I sit in the Kansas City Airport on the last leg of my trip home there is so much to post about tonight. Firstly, the Murfreesboro camps were out of this world! I can honestly say the gym, the staff, and the attending athletes made this camp one of the top 3 camps I have ever been a part of. I helps that I felt like I was home for most of the camp. I can’t give enough credit to Evan and Crossfit Murfreesboro for being incredible hosts. I would go back to that gym any time. Furthermore, I can’t thank Steven Hage enough for having Poppa Nation and myself in his house. If you are ever in Murfreesboro (cause that happens a lot) take this man out for coffee. Seriously Steven and his wife are the epitome of southern hospitality. Thanks!
Secondly, we did it! Holy crap! Second in the region! (as of now…) I cannot be more proud of our members who showed up and worked hard for 5 straight weeks. The hardwork, training, and hours of effort by our athletes and team members is remarkable. I wish I could put to word how proud I am of the team and the gym. I can’t think of a group I would rather be a part of. Great work! We’re going to celebrate success this week and likely stay out of the gym a little bit. However, there’s more work to do…
Lastly, I want to give a quick shout out to some individual athletes for HUGE success in the Opens despite their training hard through them. Jason Hoggan (3rd), Sarabeth Phillips (14th), Natalie Mclain (2nd), Ingrid Kantola…soon to be Winchester (21st), Becky Clark (21st), Matt Hathcock (17th), and Jeff Germond (16th). Incredible work guys.
