Week one down. Honestly, I think I am most excited just to not have to talk about toes to bar anymore. BUT, praise our good God in heaven that we landed a max lift. Pretty pumped that the best part of our sport has trickled now to every part of the “competition season.” As a team we did very well especially on an AMRAP that I would not consider in our “wheelhouse.” Guys with big quads tend to struggle on toes to bar apparently.
I have created a men’s and women’s leaderboard below for athletes that I know have been following our programming and that I know are okay with me posting their scores. If you’d like your name to be added to the leaderboard and you have been following our programming and commenting on the blog just let me know and I will update the leaderboard.
I’m already anxious about what the next one is going to be. With the new wrinkle of adding a second part of 15.1 there literally is no bounds to what Dave Castro could do. (As if there ever were ) Everything you have ever thought is off-limits for the Open should now be considered. I mean except running, thank God.
As you ponder and think about what the next workout is going to be feel free to shoot a video and throw it on Instagram with the #powerandgraceperformance. I’m interested to see what everyone thinks is coming. Personal opinion, I think we see ascending weights in the overhead squat as well as bar muscleups or a bar muscleup/pullup complex. But I guessed muscleups and Burpee’s last week so I’m clearly not an authority. Or a good guesser.
