It’s not every day that I get to read an article highlighting one of my athletes. This past week I got to read two. On the weightlifting side Connor Felstead is in his final preparation for the World Championships for Juniors out in Russia. His hometown newspaper did an awesome write up for him. Connor just graduated high school this past week and has already achieved more in the sport of weightlifting in less than a year than I have achieved in 14 years of trying. He deserves every bit of the credit this article gives him. Take a look: Soon-to-be MHS grad represents USA
On the other side of the fence, Jeff Germond had a really awesome article written about his performance at Regionals and first trip to the Games. For those of you who are unaware, Jeff was the first competitor to qualify for the CrossFit Games out of the state of Louisiana. As the owner of CrossFit Nola, the New Orleans newspaper decided to do a little write up on his behalf. I have already mentioned this 1000 times but I honestly have worked with very few athletes in my short coaching career that work as hard and as consistent as Jeff. This man not only deserves his ticket to the Games but deserves every bit of praise this article gives him. Take a look: Louisiana’s first CrossFit Games participant earned the trip the hard way
