Happy Mother’s Day to all our mom’s out there. First year for me getting to say Happy Mother’s Day to my wife. Pretty cool new phase of our life!
The day two workouts proved to be the true test for the regional level athlete. We knew that events four and five would be the largest challenge and they did not disappoint. All three power and grace athlete struggled a bit with either the strict HS push-ups or the legless rope climbs. They’re not alone in this struggle but it’s never easy to see weaknesses highlighted.
Currently Phil sits in 11th with his best workouts in front of him. Tristan also sits in 11th while Kara sits in 21st. Events six and seven today are pretty classic CrossFit workouts. The 50s work out especially will allow for your average, long time CrossFitter to excel. It’s also the only work out of the weekend set up for those athletes who made it from the open to Regionals on aerobic capacity alone. Personally I’m looking forward to the pull-up – overhead squat workout. The way this workout is set up on the floor is going to be a race to the finish. I can’t wait to see the small errors that separate a first place from a tenth place. Day two is behind us on to day three.
