Continuing from Duke Burk's Regional Review last week, here are a couple thoughts from a fellow new Power and Grace athlete, Zak Carchedi:
This years regionals was bitter sweet for myself. I saw the potential I had this year but I made a few mental mistakes that cost me a potential spot in the top 5. The regionals preparation this year was very repetitive to say the least. I did randy of a version of randy almost 10 times leading up to regionals. It was horrible but I got a great time so I am glad I did it. I am excited to mix it up now that it is the off-season. This regionals experience this year was awesome it was great to have great coaches from Power and Grace Performance helping me with every event and a great group of athletes that all made it to the regionals who I consider family already. This year I felt I was a part of a team which helped me push a little harder on some of the workouts. My favorite experience of the weekend was event 3 that very long chipper. The last 2 min was the best part, racing against Scott Panchik was a very cool experience for me and helped me realize that I can stick with these insane athletes. This off-season I am looking forward to working on my weaknesses and preparing to crush next years games season. I am going to try and have fun, enjoy every day, and mentally prepare for next year. Thanks to my coaches Spencer Arnold and Joe Williams at Power and Grace Performance for getting me this far I don’t know if I could do it without you guys.
