As we prepare for Week 3 of the Regionals I can’t help but be reminded of some simple truths of athletic performance. Primarily, it is important that you remember that your talent, gifting, and performance is granted to you by the Lord. For that reason, remember all of those things are for His glory.
Isaiah 64:8 says, “But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
Remember that who you are and what you do is a product of how you were created and who you were created by. Just as a pot and its characteristics are a direct product of the potter, who we are and what we excel at are a direct product of our creator.
Run this through your grid. If we are created by a God with infinite possibilities and no bounds then we also have those same character traits. Our potential is only as great our creators. BUT since our creator has no end to what He can do and there is no end to what He is capable of, then our possibilities have no limit.
Regional competitors trust that what you are capable of is far greater than what you limit yourself to. You are only limited by our God’s limit which is limitless. Do work this weekend!
